The Supreme Twins Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children with disabilities and their families, is proud to announce the appointment of Alejandra Abusada as its new Vice President of Development.
In this role, Abusada will oversee the foundation’s development strategy, spearhead fundraising initiatives, and manage the development team and day-to-day operations. She will also serve as a key ambassador for the Foundation’s mission – creating a more inclusive and supportive community through education and social impact initiatives that empower individuals with disabilities and their families to reach their fullest potential.
The announcement comes as the Supreme Twins Foundation continues to strengthen its development efforts and deepen its partnerships in the Miami community and beyond, following its Inaugural Celebration in September which brought together more than 400 community leaders, changemakers, local officials and supporters.
“We are thrilled to welcome Alejandra to our leadership team,” said Ilieva Valdés, co-founder of the Supreme Twins Foundation. “Her career and philanthropic endeavors reflect a deep commitment to resilience, empowerment, and purposeful contributions to the communities she serves. Her proven success in building meaningful partnerships will be instrumental as we expand our development efforts and deepen our impact for families raising children with disabilities.”
Abusada brings more than 12 years of experience in philanthropy, education development, and international project management, with a strong focus on mental health advocacy. Most recently, she served as Director of Development at the Miami Dade College Foundation, where she successfully secured seven-figure contributions, built strategic partnerships, and expanded community engagement to strengthen educational opportunities for students across Miami Dade College.
Earlier in her career, she worked in international development in Washington DC, managing Department of Labor and Department of Justice initiatives in Mexico and Colombia. A social entrepreneur at heart, Abusada is also the founder of Mami Linda, a nonprofit organization in Peru dedicated to advancing mental health awareness. She serves on the board of MIR Charities in the Dominican Republic, advocating for educational equity, and is an active member of the Young Professionals of Alfalit International, supporting global literacy initiatives.
Abusada holds a Master’s degree in Human Development from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology.
