Miami-Dade Transit and Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces departments — in partnership with Friends of The Underline — are seeking public input concerning the proposed master plan for “The Underline.”

The Underline is a 10-mile stretch of biking and pedestrian trails and park spaces located beneath the county’s Metrorail system between the Miami River north of Brickell and Dadeland South stations.

Two public meetings are scheduled in June, and area residents, business owners and visitors are encouraged to attend and participate in the interactive discussions:

The Underline Public Meeting: Brickell area to Coconut Grove
Tuesday, June 23, 6-8 p.m., Frost Museum of Science, 3280 S. Miami Ave., for residents in the Brickell, Vizcaya, Roads, Shenandoah, Silver Bluff, neighboring communities and Coconut Grove areas.

The Underline Public Meeting: Coral Gables to Dadeland South
Thursday, June 25, 6-8 p.m., Temple Judea, 5500 Granada Blvd., Coral Gables, for residents in Coral Gables and South Miami to Dadeland South Metrorail Station.

Each meeting will be approximately two hours in duration and is designed to gather feedback on preliminary designs prepared by James Corner Field Operations.

The vision for The Underline is to create a linear park and urban trail that will enhance connectivity, mobility, and biking safety for hundreds of thousands of Miami- Dade residents and visitors.

Please note meeting dates and times are subject to change. For updates about public meetings and more information about The Underline, visit www.theunderline.org.
