Estrella de Luz, a sky-blue bronze sculpture by internationally acclaimed Uruguayan artist Pablo Atchugarry, was unveiled during Miami Art Week as the new permanent centerpiece of The Leesfield Family Garden at The Underline.
Created in Uruguay and cast in Spain before arriving in Miami, the piece embodies Atchugarry’s signature dedication to light, verticality, and movement. Its upward-reaching form reflects Miami’s spirit of renewal and connectivity, offering a moment of calm and reflection in the city’s heart.
The installation was made possible through the generosity and vision of Ira and Cynthia Leesfield, founders of the Leesfield Family Foundation, who imagined the garden as a place where art, nature, and community come together. Located just blocks from the Coconut Grove Metrorail station, the sculpture is free and accessible year-round.
