TotalBank’s Brickell Banking Center has won the award for Design Excellence in Retail Design during this year’s annual SANDI design awards for the IIDA-SFC (International Interior Design Association-South Florida Chapter).

The prestigious award, voted on by a panel of renowned architects and designers in New York City, was one of only seven in the following categories: Hospitality, Institutional/Governmental, Corporate, Healthcare, Residential, Retail and Commissioned Projects.

TSAO Design is the winning design group behind TotalBank’s new Brickell Banking Center. Major design elements of the winning space include energy efficiency, specialized lighting, warm and welcoming walnut and natural stone finishes, and custom glass walls throughout. The focal point of the Banking Center’s design is the grand elliptical crystal chandelier measuring 12 feet in diameter that accentuates the main lobby.

“We congratulate TSAO on being recognized for their excellent design,” said Jorge Rossell, chair and CEO of TotalBank. “They succeeded at not only creating a feeling of openness and modernity, but also a welcoming space where we can have a real synergy with our customers to conduct business. We had a certain vision and they translated it into our beautiful new Banking Center.”
