U.S. Century Bank has announced the promotion of Edmundo Valdez, senior vice president and information technology director, to chief technology officer (CTO).

As senior vice president and CTO, Valdez oversees all the technical aspects of the bank and leads the information technology strategies team. In addition to safeguarding U.S. Century Bank’s information from unauthorized access, he develops and manages fintech partnerships that enhance the customer experience and ensures all technology initiatives in place align with U.S. Century Bank’s strategic goals.

Valdez has more than 20 years of experience managing information systems for financial institutions including Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust and BMI Financial Group. He holds a Bachelor of IT from American Intercontinental University and industry certifications including, Microsoft Certifications, Cisco Certifications, Certified Ethical Hacker v5, and CISSP.
