U.S. Century Bank promotes two senior vice presidents

U.S. Century Bank announces the promotion of senior vice presidents, Alexanders Saenz and Maria “Maruchy” Hernandez Lazo.

Alexanders Saenz has been promoted from Credit Administration manager to senior vice president, Global Banking Officer. He will support the management of the Bank’s Correspondent Banking relationships by identifying loan, deposit, and non-interest income growth opportunities.

Saenz has 18 years of experience in credit underwriting and administration. Before joining U.S. Century Bank in 2019, he held vice president roles at BankUnited and TotalBank.

Saenz holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Florida International University.

Maria “Maruchy” Hernandez Lazo has been promoted from senior credit officer to senior vice president, Senior Credit Administration manager and SBA administrator. In her new role, Hernandez Lazo oversees all aspects of credit administration, monitoring the quality of the growing loan portfolio. She also will manage the SBA Lending portfolio to strengthen the bank’s position as a leading SBA lender in the market. She has been with U.S. Century Bank since 2022.

Her more than 30 years of banking experience includes credit risk management, loan portfolio administration, credit policy, compliance, and leadership. Hernandez Lazo served as a senior vice president at Amerant Bank before joining U.S. Century Bank.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and international business from Florida International University.
