U.S. Century Bank recently announced that Maricarmen Logroño, Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, has been named to the Financial and International Business Association’s (FIBA) board of directors.
A nonprofit trade association and international center for financial excellence, FIBA is recognized as the leading voice for international banking in the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean. FIBA has become a recognized leader in the promotion of technology, cybersecurity and innovation in financial services.
“Maricarmen’s being named to the FIBA board of directors is a testament to her experience and depth of knowledge of risk management,” said Luis de la Aguilera, president and CEO of U.S. Century Bank. “Her leadership and commitment to improving risk management regulation in today’s complex international banking environment will make her a tremendous asset to the board.”
Logroño has more than 20 years of experience in banking risk management covering financial, credit and operational risk, as well as regulatory compliance. She leads the bank’s newly combined risk management and compliance divisions.
She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in finance.
