The UAE Healthy Kidney 5K – Miami is set to make a vibrant return to South Florida on Saturday, Jan. 31, rallying the local community for a morning of fitness, fun and philanthropy.
The event, hosted at Regatta Park in Coconut Grove, will unite hundreds of runners and walkers — all with one goal: to raise life-saving funds and spread awareness for the National Kidney Foundation of Florida (NKFF). Every dollar from race registration will be donated directly to NKFF, supporting local patients and their families in the fight against kidney disease.
Last year’s sold-out race drew support from local leaders, including the mayors of Coral Gables, West Miami and Palmetto Bay, and raised over $46,000 to benefit Florida kidney patients.
Since its inception in 2005, the UAE Embassy in Washington, DC, and the Zayed Charity Run have brought together nearly 100,000 runners nationwide in honor of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s founding president and a kidney transplant recipient.
The community event comes as the UAE celebrates the “Year of the Family” in 2026, reaffirming the importance of family in UAE society, a shared value across both nations.
Participants of all ages will enjoy a festive post-race community celebration, featuring live entertainment, vendor booths, giveaways and authentic Emirati cultural experiences. A raffle will be held during the festival with the opportunity to win gift cards, airline tickets and an experience at the Four Seasons Miami.
Top finishers will be awarded cash prizes generously provided by the Zayed Charity Run, with $5,000 for first place, $2,500 for second and $1,500 for third in both male and female categories
Regatta Park is located at 2700 S. Bayshore Dr. Start time is 7:30 a.m. Register at https://runsignup.com/Race/FL/Miami/UAEHEALTHYKIDNEY5KRUN.
