The Big Woof Festival, taking place Jan. 17-18 at Regatta Park in Coconut Grove, has announced VCA Animal Hospitals as the official sponsor of the festival’s dazzling Golden Glam Contest — a joyful, high-energy runway event celebrating Golden Retrievers and made possible by the beloved Miami Goldens Meetup Club and the South Florida Golden Retriever owners.
The Golden Glam invites Miami’s most charismatic Goldens to strut the runway in fun, themed outfits that showcase their charm, personality, and unmistakable Golden joy. As one of the most anticipated moments of the festival, the show embodies the spirit of community connection and dog-centered celebration that defines The Big Woof Festival.
“We’re thrilled to have VCA Animal Hospitals as the official sponsor of the Golden Glam,” said Laura Pequignot, managing partner of The Big Woof Festival. “VCA’s dedication to pet health and wellness perfectly aligns with our mission of bringing the community together, supporting rescue efforts, and celebrating the special bond between dogs and their families. And we’re grateful to the Miami Goldens Meetup Club, their members and all South Florida Golden Retriever owners for bringing this beloved event to life.”
VCA Animal Hospitals, one of the most trusted veterinary providers in the country, is joining the festival to support not only the Golden Glam event but also the broader mission of The Big Woof Festival: raising awareness around rescue, adoption, education and responsible pet care. VCA’s presence reinforces the festival’s commitment to ensuring pets and their families have access to high-quality veterinary information and resources.
“VCA is proud to support The Big Woof Festival and celebrate Miami’s vibrant dog-loving community,” said Diana Duncan, group vice president. “The Golden Glam Fashion Show is the perfect blend of fun and purpose — bringing people together while shining a spotlight on the importance of keeping our pets healthy and thriving.”
The Big Woof Festival benefits PAWS4you Rescue, a Miami-based nonprofit dedicated to saving pets in need and reducing shelter overcrowding across Miami-Dade County. With thousands of families expected to attend, the festival combines entertainment, education, and impact, creating a weekend that is both meaningful and unforgettable.
The Big Woof Festival — Miami’s first large-format dog festival in the nation’s eighth largest dog ownership market — brings together thousands of dog lovers, families, and rescue organizations for a weekend of adoption, community, and celebration. The festival showcases Champion Frisbee Dog performances, entertaining pup contests, K-9 exhibitions, dog training demonstrations, wellness talks, vendor booths, and delicious food and drinks.
