Offering sophisticated and individualized wellness programs for adults seeking recovery from drugs and alcohol, GIA Miami’s sister clinic, Vita Recovery, is addressing the community’s growing substance abuse crisis by launching a new partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) in Downtown Miami.
Located at 1501 Biscayne Blvd., Suite 203, an official opening of Vita Recovery took place on Oct. 4 to showcase the 5,000-square-foot treatment center, its programs, and to introduce its certified staff of diverse, international, and multidisciplinary mental wellness experts to the South Florida mental health community. The clinic is led by Dr. Anto Bonci and Francesco Del Governatore, executive chairman and CEO of Vita Recovery.
GIA Miami owners Dr. Bonci, Roberto Ciapparelli, and Del Governatore launched Vita Recovery to provide personalized and comprehensive wellness programs for adults 18 years and older that combine physical, mental, and spiritual practices with modern neuroscience, psychology and psychiatry — all to help ensure clients get the most out of treatment and achieve their wellness goals.
GIA’s practice is built on using highly effective Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as a treatment method for mental issues such as depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. Vita Recovery will offer more intensive, specially structured outpatient and partial hospitalization programs designed to help those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.
The two clinics are co-located at the same Miami center.
“The COVID-19 pandemic worsened incidences of drug and alcohol use, addiction, and overdose rates, which led us to open Vita Recovery in addition to GIA Miami, to provide the most innovative addiction treatments in an outpatient setting under one roof,” said Dr. Bonci, executive chairman and founder of GIA Miami. “Vita Recovery sets itself apart by bringing together a concierge approach to rehabilitation treatment, which is tailored to each patient’s social and emotional needs.”
Both the IOP and PHP at Vita Recovery provide individually tailored care for each and every unique client. The programs at Vita are designed to recognize that mental wellness requires a comprehensive, holistic brain-body approach.
Intensive Outpatient Program:
The IOP at Vita Recovery provides three hours of clinical services per day, four days per week. The IOP also involves individual and group therapy and therapeutic activities, including outdoor meetings, beach and botanical garden trips, as well as yoga and strength training with certified instructors. Vita’s IOP can be a step down from detox, residential treatment programs or PHP.
Partial Hospitalization Program:
The PHP at Vita Recovery provides six hours of clinical services per day, five days per week. Vita’s PHP involves individual and group therapy, psychiatric consultations, and fun therapeutic activities such as outdoor meetings, beach trips, meditation in the park, botanical garden visits, and yoga and strength training with certified instructors. The PHP at Vita Recovery can serve as a step down from detox or residential treatment programs when a client is ready for less intensive care — or it can be a step up from an outpatient program when a client may need more structure or a higher level of care.
Vita Recovery is now accepting admissions to its partial hospitalizations (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP).
