The Miami Children’s Museum announces the opening of its Winter Wonderland exhibit, a captivating holiday adventure for families and children of all ages. The exhibit, now open, will be available until March 2024, offering a unique blend of fun, learning, and holiday spirit.
This immersive exhibit transforms the museum into a magical winter landscape with an indoor sock skating rink where kids and adults alike can glide and twirl in their socks. It’s an innovative twist on traditional ice skating, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for even the youngest visitors.
Beyond the rink, the Winter Wonderland exhibit is an educational journey through the wonders of winter. Children will be able to engage in interactive learning about snow, exploring its science and the many ways it shapes our world. Additionally, the Reading Nook provides a cozy corner filled with books about winter, encouraging children to read and learn in a festive environment.
“We are delighted to bring the magic of winter to Miami. Our Winter Wonderland exhibit is more than just a holiday destination; it’s where families can create lasting memories while engaging in educational and fun activities,” said Deborah Spiegelman, executive director/CEO of the Miami Children’s Museum. “This exhibit will spark children’s love for learning and a sense of wonder, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the winter season.”
The Miami Children’s Museum invites families to enter this enchanting Winter Wonderland and experience the joy and wonder of the holiday season. The exhibit is ideal for a family day out, providing a perfect blend of education, fun, and holiday magic.
The Miami Children’s Museum is located at 980 MacArthur Causeway on Watson Island. The museum is open daily 10 a.m.-1:30p.m. and 2:30-6 p.m. Call 305-373-5437 (KIDS).
