The juried selection finalists will be on display and over $25,000 in scholarships and honorariums will be awarded.

“As a working artist formed by my early education, I know how important art teachers are in an art student’s development. In this program we seek to encourage them even further” said Lisa Remeny, the Club’s YAG Coordinator.

The exhibition will be open to the public, and you can come and meet the artists from 1- 4 pm, March 23, with an awards reception, at 2 pm. Exhibition also open from 12-2 pm on March 24 at 2985 S. Bayshore Dr., Coconut Grove.

The Young Artists’ Gallery is a yearly juried art exhibit and scholarship program created by the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove in partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
High school students can exhibit their work, earn college scholarships, and sell their work.

The Young Artists’ Gallery (YAG) is a juried art exhibit open to high school students of Miami-Dade County Public Schools. The Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove awards over $25,000 in scholarships through its YAG program to deserving young artists every year. YAG was established in 2001 as an annual event designed to provide scholarships as well as the opportunity for talented high school art students to learn about careers in the visual arts and to offer support and encouragement for young talent by giving them the possibility to show their work to art patrons and to see how their work can be marketable.

The artists in the exhibit will be able to offer their work for sale if they wish.

Awards: The Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove will award scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $4,000. Best in Show will receive the largest scholarship.  Scholarships are presented to the institution of learning that each winning student chooses, to go towards their tuition.
