Kaufman, Rossin collects nearly $3,000 for ‘iPads for Soldiers’

Kaufman, Rossin employees get to wear jeans to work after contributing $20 each to “iPads for Soldiers.”

Kaufman, Rossin employees recently traded their suits and ties for jeans in order to raise funds for “iPads for Soldiers.”

Employees at the firm donated $20 each to wear jeans for the day raising $1,422. The firm matched the employee’s contributions for a total donation of $2,844.

“iPads for Soldiers” is a charitable fundraising operation that collects donations to purchase iPads for U.S. soldiers serving in Afghanistan.

“We are honored to be able to provide U.S. soldiers with a tool like the iPad to help them stay connected with their loved ones,” said Jim Kaufman, managing founder of Kaufman, Rossin. “It’s just our small way of saying thank you to all those troops who risk their lives daily far away from home.”

Since its inception in 2010, “iPad for Soldiers” has collected over $50,000 in donations that were used to purchase iPads for U.S. troops. The organization also supports wounded soldiers who have been repatriated stateside for treatment and rehabilitation at military medical facilities.
