Miami Symphony Orchestra to present performance inspired by Zaha Hadid

The Miami Symphony Orchestra is presenting a performance inspired by Zaha Hadid’s work and her installation for the Moore building, Elastika. The concert will take place on Feb. 25, at 6 p.m., in the Moore Building, 191 NE 40 St. in the Miami Design District.

The program is marked by the musical repertoire and visual elements related to the poetry of design and music, among them the music of @ Zaha’s Place, composed and dedicated by Maestro Eduardo Marturet in homage to Zaha Hadid and a new art installation by Sandra Muss.

Featured are Eduardo Marturet, conductor, and Veroslav Taskov, oboe.

LeFrak, Nothing Left;
Marcello, Concerto for Oboe in D minor;
Rachmaninov, Vocalise;
Marturet, @ Zaha’s Place (world premiere);

Holst, Mars and Jupiter (from The Planets).
