Step Through the Gates to a Realm of Adventure, Fantasy, and Timeless Fun

The trumpets sound, the flags fly, and the call to revelry begins anew in South Florida! The 34th Annual Florida Renaissance Festival rides into Quiet Waters Park once again, inviting all to feast, frolic, and experience the magic of the Renaissance era. From February 7 to March 29, 2026, adventurers of all ages can step beyond the gates and into a world of knights, nobles, and nonstop fun across eight themed weekends.
Step into the year 1587, where excitement surges through the village of Kimmendale as the Royal Court of King Robert Rivera returns for its grand annual festival. This year’s celebration carries special meaning: all gather to witness the handfasting of Prince Aaron of Veridian and Princess Katla Svartulff of Stalgaard. But even as the joyful ceremony approaches, shadows creep in…
Produced by Bobby Rodriguez Productions, the nationally acclaimed event invites families to immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, and tastes of the 16th century. “Whether feasting on turkey legs, cheering for jousting knights, shopping artisan crafts, or mingling with mystical characters – visitors can expect a whimsical escape where history and fantasy collide—and every weekend tells a new story,” said Festival Producer, Bobby Rodriguez.
Read on to uncover the entertainment and attractions that await, as well as details for each of the eight themed weekends where typical garb and costumes are encouraged!

What’s Old is New in 2026…
The Crimson Pirates: Skeleton Crew – This quartet of swashbuckling songsters will regale you with Celtic traditionals, haunting ballads, and hilarious comic tunes, with a repertoire that spans ancient English folksongs to the Muppets! Join this animated crew of singer-musicians as they harmonize and play over a dozen instruments, weaving their songs, stories and jokes into an exciting tapestry of maritime music and comedy!

Ari the Bard – He is a tiefling storyteller with a collection of curious magical and mysterious items in his “shop,” Ari’s Absurd Arcanum. Most items on the shelves were collected back in Ari’s adventuring days for the unusual or hilariously tragic stories associated with them, and aren’t actually for sale!  And for the fellow bards out there: he’s also a perfect person to ask for monster dating advice!

Celtic Magic – Daniel GreenWolf is an award-winning magician, writer, creator, & slightly mad Irishman. Combining Celtic storytelling, a quick Irish wit, daredevil feats, and mind-boggling illusion, this show gets the entire audience involved, and will have them walk away saying “Ooh… Aah… YES!”
Shakespeare Approves! – Join your friendly, neighborhood Shakespeare as he brings his multi-award-winning, one-person, audience-interactive, improv comedy Shakespeare show to you for its 20th anniversary season. He’s taking you on adventures full of merriment, sword fights, mistaken identities, star-crossed lovers, flying implements of doom, musical numbers of questionable suitability, being pursued by a bear, and … death by fluffy kittens!

The Washing Well Wenches – Swing by the wash pit and visit the Washing Well Wenches, where the women rule and the men drool. They’re known for more than their stunning good looks. These girls are also “I peed my pants!” funny. *Thankfully, they will wash them for you after the show.

SAMKOMA – This dynamic musical performance group is inspired by powerful Norse sounds, warrior drums, guitar, chanting, and other instruments – channeling spirituality and emotion through their original compositions. Incorporating influences from Taiko drums to Norse culture, SAMKOMA celebrates the unity of diversity in collaborations with various performers and cultures. Thrilling, immersive, and unforgettable the live shows are a true gathering of spirit and sound.
The Hanlon-Lees Action Theater – They first crossed lances in 1979 and since then have dazzled millions at dozens of Renaissance Festivals throughout the U.S.! For almost half a century they have provided joy and excitement with their 14th century style show. Colorfully costumed steeds and noble knights in shining armor brandishing authentic weapons keep the spectacle ablaze on horseback and on foot with the action and romance of the period.
Edged Feather Experiences – Owned and operated by a master class falconer and wildlife educator, Crystal “Cryss” Stacey. Crystal has been working with and training birds of prey for over a decade. During that time, she has performed over 1000+ educational programs in 9 states across the country. The birds are all trained to fly completely untethered, and are prepared to exhibit their unique natural behaviors and vastly different personalities!  (All 8 Weekends!)

The Pub Crawl of Legend – Hosted by the Gaunt Family, Kimmendale’s proprietors of all things delicious and drinkable, this tour through the festival features our most popular pubs and drinking establishments. With stories, jokes and toasts along the way, as well as a new and tasty adult beverage at each destination, the Gaunt family definitely takes you on a Pub Crawl you won’t want to refuse.
The Promenade – Nestled in the heart of the shire of Kimmendale, visitors to the festival can meet all manner of the townsfolk from our Village Clerk who can assign them a brand new 16th-Century profession to our Publick Wyrks and be ready to fix whatever you have broken. Upon the Village Stage audiences can join in the “Foole’s School” taught by the infamous Pester the Jester, enjoy William Shakespeare’s Pyramus and Thisbe, or learn the “subtl-teas” of being a Lady with the one-and-only Lady Ettie. With ongoing shows and activities throughout the day, the Promenade is not to be missed!

Step through the castle gates and into a world beyond the battle board, where quests unfold at every turn and every choice shapes your legend. Assemble your party of brave companions—be they cunning Elves, stout Dwarves, noble Paladins, or masterful Mages—and prepare to navigate mysteries, uncover treasures, and face challenges both wondrous and perilous. Roll the dice to determine your fate, but fear not the outcome, for courage, cunning, and camaraderie will carry you far. In this themed weekend of Dungeons & Dragons, laughter rings louder than the clash of swords, stories are forged in every corner, and the only limit is your imagination. Step into the campaign and claim your place among heroes!
Weekend II: Cupid’s Lullaby – Pulling at the Harpstrings!
February 14 & 15, 2026
This Valentine’s weekend, Cupid has set aside his golden bow and taken up a harp of moonlight and rosewood. With every delicate pluck, he weaves a melody that drifts through the Kingdom by the Sea—an enchantment that stirs even the most guarded hearts. The air hums with warmth and wonder as laughter mingles with the scent of sugared confections and blooming petals. Stroll hand in hand beneath garlands of crimson silk, where whispers of love linger like candlelight upon the tide. Whether you seek to charm a new flame or bask in the joy of your own company, the music will find you—soft, tender, and true. Here, passion is not merely felt, but lived, and every heartbeat joins the chorus of Cupid’s eternal song.
Weekend III: A Viking’s Valor – Shields, Scales, Tails, and Ale!
February 21 & 22, 2026
Raise your horn high and let the thunder of the North echo through your soul! The mead flows like molten gold as the clans of the fjords gather once more beneath banners of glory. Join us in honoring the fearless Vikings—those iron-hearted raiders who braved the frozen seas, whose longships sliced through mist and myth alike. Feast upon the spoils of your victories, where roasted meats crackle over open flame and tales of conquest roll like storm clouds across the hall. Dragons have fallen, legends have risen, and the clang of steel still hums in the wind. Here, valor is your currency and laughter your war cry—for in the Kingdom of Kimmendale, the saga of the North lives on in every song, every toast, and every soul brave enough to forge their destiny beneath Odin’s watchful eye.
Weekend IV: Sirens and Shipwrecks – Party ‘til the end of the Plank!
February 28 & March 1, 2026
Ahoy, ye daring souls and wayward wanderers! The captain calls for revelry, and the tides themselves rise to answer. Don your finest pantaloons and fasten your tricorns as we set sail on a voyage of laughter, mischief, and maritime wonder. The decks creak beneath the rhythm of dance and drum while the scent of roasted fare and spiced rum mingles with the salt of the open sea. Among the scattered wrecks that dot our shores lie treasures reclaimed from the deep—pearls kissed by mermaids and gold pulled from the bones of forgotten galleons. Barter and brawl with merchants and marauders alike, for fortune favors the bold beneath lantern light. But as the sun sinks and the waves shimmer with silver fire, beware the sirens’ song that echoes through the mist—sweet and sorrowful, it calls sailors home who never wish to leave. So raise your tankard, brave the waters, and let your legend be written among the shipwrecks and stars! Huzzaaarrrgghhh!!!
Weekend V: His Majesty’s Marketplace – Haggle If You Dare!
March 7 & 8, 2026
Huzzah to the paper tipper!
Hear ye, hear ye! His Majesty has thrown open the castle gates of the royal marketplace, welcoming all who wander to revel in a bazaar brimming with splendor. From the clang of the blacksmith’s forge to the sweet perfume of the candlemaker’s stall, every corner of the Artisan’s Village hums with life and craft. Rows of tents and timbered shops gleam beneath silken banners, their tables laden with treasures wrought by the hands of masters—fine leathers, gleaming metals, carved woods, and delicate wonders spun from imagination itself. Bring your coin and your clever tongue, for the thrill of the bargain is as rich as gold, and fortune favors those who dare to haggle. Yet beware, for one trinket often leads to two, and soon your purse may feel lighter than your heart! Spend wisely, for whispers tell that those who most impress the merchants—and the King—may find themselves rewarded beyond mere coin, with royal favor and renown throughout the realm.
