Palm Beach has long mastered the art of refinement. But for one remarkable week, refinement transformed into something more daring-something vibrant, international, and deeply contemporary. The 4th edition of Art Palm Beach 2026 unfolded as a visual symphony of cultural prestige, collector confidence, and curatorial imagination, reaffirming the fair’s growing importance in Florida’s art ecosystem.
More than an annual gathering, this edition felt like a statement: Palm Beach is no longer simply hosting art-it is actively shaping the dialogue around it. And in the year’s most captivating moments, it became clear that the Fair is evolving into a destination where serious galleries and serious collectors meet not by chance, but by purpose.
A Meeting of Minds: Hernán Pacurucu and the International Lens
A highlight of this year’s experience was meeting Hernán Pacurucu, Executive Director of the Cuenca Biennale in Ecuador-one of Latin America’s most meaningful contemporary art institutions. His presence at Art Palm Beach reinforced what the fair continues to prove: the cultural bridge between South Florida and Latin America grows stronger with every edition.
Pacurucu served as one of the judges for the prestigious Cavallino Best Booth in Show Awards, which recognize the galleries which transform their booth into something far beyond imagination.
Today, booth presentation is a sophisticated concept. It is no longer merely about hanging works. It is about composition, intention, narrative and rhythm. It is about the subtle architecture of visual persuasion-where:
- design elements and layout
- branding and typography
- collector flow and audience interaction
- curatorial cohesion and emotional impact
create an experience that is immersive, memorable, and unmistakably collectible.

Cavallino Best Booth in Show Awards: Excellence in Presentation
This year’s winners represented this philosophy beautifully-each booth was a complete world of its own, built with confidence and sophistication:
Best Booth in Show
- 1st Place: Cernuda Arte -Booth 805
- 2nd Place: HOFA Gallery -Booth 808
- 3rd Place: Ethan Cohen -Booth 601
Honorable Mentions
- Sundaram Tagore Gallery -Booth 605
- Zemack Contemporary Art – Booth 403
The recognition felt not only deserved, but symbolic of what Art Palm Beach is becoming: a fair where galleries are not simply exhibitors-they are visual directors of temporary museums.
The Social Fabric of the Art World
Art fairs are always about art-but they are also equally about the people who shape the ecosystem around it. This year, Art Palm Beach welcomed recognizable leaders within the art world, making the fair feel like a curated summit of influence and expertise.
Among the notable personalities we had the pleasure to see and visit with (not in specific order):
- George Billis (a respected force behind major art show presences including Salt Lake and Palm Springs)
- Mary Ann Cohen, Director of MAC Art
- Nick and Pamela Korniloff of Art Miami
- Rick Friedman, Director of the Hamptons Fine Art Fair
Their presence affirmed the fair’s momentum-and offered a glimpse into its increasing significance within the art market.
The Curator’s Pick: A Geometric Moment of Pure Joy
In a sea of remarkable works, The Curator’s Desk selected a piece that held the room with confidence:
Jose Margulis – PH 40 White (2025)
A geometric sculpture of exquisite clarity, Margulis’ work delivers the kind of three-dimensional sophistication that feels both mathematical and emotional. Its multi-chromatic sphere and polished structure created a visual cadence that is undeniably pleasurable-a piece that invites admiration from every angle.
It was not simply an artwork-it was a moment of design, precision, and delight.
Works That Stopped the Eye-and Stayed with the Mind
Every strong fair has artworks which collectors remember long after leaving. Art Palm Beach 2026 had many.
Some of the most striking works included:
- Among the most unforgettable installations of the fair was Hollis Taggart Downtown (Booth 103), led by Director Paul Efstathiou, presenting a truly mesmerizing exhibition by John Knuth-an artist internationally recognized for transforming flies into living instruments of mark-making and motion. The installation captivated audiences with its conceptual brilliance and bold execution, offering one of the most talked-about and must-see presentations of the show.
- Natan Elkanovich – Acrylic on canvas and mixed media
Elohei Tzvaot (2025)
A profound work-one that felt layered not only in material, but in meaning. It carried the spiritual intensity that distinguishes a painting from mere aesthetics.
- Cheraine Collette – Photograph
For the collector who loves cars and bold visual storytelling: absolutely striking. Strong, clean, impactful and powerful.
- Alex Katz – Olivia (2025)
Katz remains a timeless pleasure-always modern, always elegant, always effortlessly collectible.
- Danuel Mendez – Venus Flytrap (2025), Acrylic on canvas – presented by Cernuda Arte
A stunning work with magnetic power-color, movement, and contemporary intensity meeting in one unforgettable composition.
- Wilfredo Lam – Composition (1957)
A forever classic. A reminder that true masters do not follow time-time follows them.
VK Gallery: The Elegance of European Luminosity
Special recognition goes to VK Gallery led by Victoria Kovalenchikova from the Netherlands. Her circle works were a sophisticated study of texture and volume-filled with luminous whites and marine blues that felt both contemporary and meditative.
The richness of her surfaces, paired with the intensity of blue tones reminiscent of Klein, created works that did what the best paintings do: they didn’t decorate a wall-they shaped the atmosphere of the room.
Ccucu Gall-Art: Miami Identity in the Heart of Brickell Key
This year, Ccucu Gall-Art – The Brickell Key Gallery proudly joined The Art Palm Beach, bringing a presentation rooted in abstract expressionist spirit and bold contemporary vision.
At Booth 211, visitors encountered our celebrated centerpiece:
MIA CHEESE – a representation of our MIA treasure
A work that continues to symbolize the cultural excitement, creative boldness and sophistication of the Miami art scene, generating conversation wherever it appears.
Surrounding it, our FVT Abstract pieces offered exactly what collectors and designers seek: powerful contemporary art that transforms a space instantly-works that feel alive, elevated, and unforgettable.

Looking Forward: Building Collectors Through Culture
At its best, Art Palm Beach is not only about sales-it is about the formation of taste, the shaping of future collectors, and the celebration of multicultural creativity.
The Curator’s Desk had the opportunity to speak with artists, learn about a variety of techniques, and engage with the creative minds shaping the visual language of our time. It is always an honor to meet those who build culture with their hands-those who translate the intangible into form.
As we continue championing art across Miami and Florida, our mission remains clear:
to promote art in our neighborhood, support artists, and inspire our Floridian audience to become not only art buyers-but art patrons, art ambassadors, and future collectors.
Because when talent is this abundant, and culture is this rich, collecting becomes more than acquisition.
It becomes belonging.
