Broward Health North is proud to offer cardiac ablation procedures in its new state-of-the-art cardiac suite, which opened on July 30. This advancement supports the health system’s vision to expand access to modern electrophysiology services and cardiac care.
The suite is the first in Broward County equipped with the Siemens ARTIS Icono X-ray system, which provides interactive 3D models and enhanced imaging precision.
On opening day, our dedicated team successfully completed seven procedures, including cardiac ablation.
Cardiac ablation uses energy to create tiny scars in the heart that can block abnormal heart signals and correct irregular heart rhythms. Among the procedures now available are left-side ablations used to treat atrial fibrillation, the most common heart arrhythmia, and a leading cause of stroke.
