Charlotte Mather-Taylor, CEO of the Area Agency on Aging of Broward County (AAABC), has been recognized with the prestigious Claude Pepper Community Builder Award by United HomeCare, a nonprofit home health and community care organization that has served South Florida since 1973. The 30th annual awards luncheon will be held on Friday, May 16 at 11 a.m. at the Pullman Hotel in Miami located at 5800 Waterford District Drive.
The annual awards are presented in memory of the late Sen. Claude Pepper, a beloved public servant who tirelessly championed causes on behalf of the elderly. To continue his legacy, United HomeCare annually recognizes dedicated community leaders and activists who are making an impact in the lives of disabled and older adults in South Florida.
“I am very grateful to be receiving this award,” said Mather-Taylor. “All of the honorees are esteemed for their vigorous and compassionate work on behalf of their communities so to be recognized in this way is an honor.”
