Galleria Fort Lauderdale is inviting local artists to submit their original artwork for BLOOM, a juried art exhibition celebrating Earth Day in collaboration with Art and Culture Center/Hollywood, ArtServe, ArtsUnited and History Fort Lauderdale. The exhibition will highlight artistic interpretations of Earth’s natural beauty, from oceans and mangroves to wildlife and blooming landscapes. The top artwork will receive a $500 prize at the BLOOM Reception to be held at 6 p.m. on April 24 at Galleria Fort Lauderdale.
“Galleria Fort Lauderdale is proud to celebrate the beauty that surrounds us in collaboration with local arts and history organizations,” said Melissa Milroy, senior marketing manager at Galleria Fort Lauderdale. “BLOOM offers a unique opportunity for artists to showcase their talents and contribute to an environmental celebration through visual storytelling.”
Artists are encouraged to submit original works in the following mediums: multi-media paintings, sculptures, photography and fashion by Friday, March 21, at bit.ly/galleriabloom25
All submissions should include an image of the selected body of work (.jpg or PDF, file size no larger than 10MB), a description or artist statement (max. 200 words) and a written bio/resume (Word doc) including education, exhibition history, awards, residencies and publications.
Artists may submit up to three (3) entries, though only one piece per artist will be selected for display. Submission does not guarantee placement in the exhibition. All entries will be reviewed, and selected artists will be notified by Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
