Podiatrist Amanda Allen, MBA, DPM has joined Holy Cross Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician-employed group of more than 130 physicians providing services throughout Broward County.
With an extensive background in both the clinical and surgical aspects of podiatry practice, Dr. Allen’s specialties include the treatment of all foot and ankle conditions with a primary focus on nonoperative options, diabetic preventive care and wound care. Additional focus areas are plantar fasciitis, foot and ankle pain and strains, general and geriatric foot care, sports medicine, regenerative medicine, bunions and tendonitis.
Most recently, Dr. Allen was with Orthopaedic Associates of Miami Lakes and Memorial Hospital Pembroke-Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in Pembroke Pines.
Board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot surgery, Dr. Allen is also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Experienced in diagnosing and treating complex foot and ankle pathologies due to trauma, infection and arthritic conditions, Dr. Allen also has expert knowledge in advanced wound healing techniques and treatments. She’s presented on various podiatric topics throughout her career and has volunteered at clinics, on medical missions and as a mentor and attending physician committed to training future physicians.

Dr. Allen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with minors in chemistry and business from the University of Denver in Colorado and her Master of Business Administration with a health services administration focus and Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University in Miami Shores. She then completed her postgraduate training with a three-year foot and ankle surgical residency at Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. Following her residency, Dr. Allen continued on to the Westside Podiatry Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Fellowship at Westside Hospital in Plantation, where she focused on foot and ankle surgery, trauma and reconstruction.
A resident of Miami with her husband and two children, Dr. Allen enjoys traveling, skiing, going to the beach and boating in her free time.
