The Our Fund Foundation and the Community Foundation of Broward will award a total of $360,000 in grants to 10 nonprofit organizations through their collaborative 2025 LGBTQ+ Social Justice & Equity Fund. This extraordinary initiative supports innovative projects aimed at addressing discrimination and disparities affecting the LGBTQ+ community in Broward County.

To honor the donors, legacy members, and grant recipients, the foundations will host a grant reception on Thursday, April 10, at 6 p.m. at The Our Fund Foundation’s headquarters located at1201 NE 26th Street, Suite 108 in Wilton Manors.

“The LGBTQ+ community is facing relentless attacks from political and social forces seeking to roll back and destroy our hard-won rights,” said David Jobin, president & CEO of The Our Fund Foundation. “This fund is one of the many ways we are stepping up to meet the moment—thanks to the unwavering support of donors who recognize the urgent need for a meaningful philanthropic response.”

Formed in 2022, the LGBTQ+ Social Justice & Equity Fund is a strategic partnership between the two foundations, combining philanthropic resources and expertise to create a more informed, inclusive, and equitable environment for Broward County’s LGBTQ+ community.

“We are proud to partner with The Our Fund Foundation to create real, lasting change,” said Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D., president & CEO of the Community Foundation of Broward. “Thanks to our dedicated volunteers who carefully reviewed grant applications, we are funding projects with the power to transform lives. These grants reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every member of Broward’s LGBTQ+ community is treated with dignity, equity, and respect. It’s a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we work together.”

Each nonprofit grantee was thoroughly vetted by a joint selection committee and will receive between $29,000 – $50,000.
