Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced that construction is underway on a new office and manufacturing location for global company HOERBIGER, located in Delray Beach, north of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Ware Malcomb’s Miami office is providing architecture and interior design services for the 197,000 square foot Florida campus, located at 9888 W. Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach.
HOERBIGER is a leader in the energy, automotive, and industrial sectors, focusing on developing innovative solutions for efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance. The company’s new Delray Beach location will be purposed for its compression technology sector, producing compressor valves, control systems, actuators, performance-enhancing upgrades, and related components for reciprocating compressors.
The project consists of a 43,000 square foot two-story office building and a fully air-conditioned 154,000 square foot factory building with a 28’ clear height. The buildings will utilize tilt-up construction, with areas featuring storefronts and other sections with spandrel glass.
According to Rei Gomez, Principal, Ware Malcomb, the new location is designed to meet LEED certification standards. “The client is committed to the environmental efficiency of its facilities, and our team has paid special attention to include high-efficiency HVAC systems, LED lighting with occupancy sensors and building automation systems that will monitor and optimize energy consumption.”
General contracting services for the project are being provided by Butters Construction & Development. Civil engineering services were provided by Bohler Engineering. Planning and landscape architecture services were provided by JMorton.
