Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce is a sedan with a turbo 280 horsepower engine. Pretty big horses that can get you up to 149 miles per hour at its top speed.

But why do you need that kind of speed on South Florida roads? Because you can and maybe you sneak onto Homestead Miami Speedway and take a lap. But seriously, this type of performance is really about trips on the highway.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia, priced at $56,000, delivers 24 miles per gallon in the city and 33 miles per gallon on the highway.

Its focus on performance includes a dedication to innovative engineering like its carbon fiber driveshaft, which is strong and lightweight and used in motorsports to contribute to balance and responsiveness.

There are a lot of options in the Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce.

I drove a rear wheel drive model, but the all wheel drive is available. You can switch between them depending on your location in less than a second. The active transfer case technology continuously monitors road conditions. If traction loss is detected, the system shifts additional power to the wheels that can best use it, enhancing balance and maneuverability.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce’s DNA drive mode selector allows drivers to choose from three unique driving modes. “Dynamic mode” provides exceptional throttle and more involved steering wheel feedback, while “natural mode” exhibits a standard engine response that’s perfect for everyday commutes and short trips. For optimal fuel consumption, the “advanced efficiency mode” is a good choice.

Climb into the Alfa Romeo Giulia and you’ll find a carefully designed, comfortable interior. Premium materials like leather trim communicate elevated luxury, while features like the wireless charging pad and available aluminum paddle shifters give it a modern, sporty feel.

I really like the feel of the leather trimmed front seats, which look great, too. The available Harman Kardon audio system with 900 watts, 14 precision-tuned speakers and a 12-channel amplifier that makes everything sound fantastic.

You can precisely determine the Alfa Romeo Giulia’s performance in real time with the new 12.3-inch driver information digital gauge cluster display. It is a big screen that keeps you up to date on how your vehicle is operating—from oil life to safety and security alerts.

You also get a customizable 8.8-inch multitouch display that allows for smartphone features like Apple compatibility and information about steering and lots more.

I really enjoyed driving the Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce and I think you will, too.
