The 2023 AMG E 53 Cabriolet convertible is a beauty at $91,500.

It’s got all the modern bells and whistles: The 4-passenger sedan has a 3.0-liter inline-6 turbo with hybrid assist and an electric auxiliary compressor engine.

The 2023 AMG E 53 gets you to 60 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds, which is very fast. The 2023 AMG E 53 delivers 20 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway.

The seamless power and natural balance that AMG is known for is paired with Mercedes’ innovation, with the car company continuing to incorporate great technology into the sedan. The lightweight, fully beltless engine is electrified with an integrated starter-generator that can supply up to 21 horsepower at certain rpm, allowing fuel-free coasting and the recapture of energy during deceleration. With a twin-scroll turbo and electric auxiliary compressor, the gas engine provides 429 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque on its own, for a quick, efficient response.

Electrifying the inline-6 gasoline engine is an innovative integrated starter-generator. It teams with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery to supply power for formerly belt-driven components like the water pump and air-conditioning compressor, reducing weight and enhancing underhood packaging. In addition, the electric assist can generate additional, gas-free power and torque for immediate response.

I really like the eco-friendly system that is built into the 2023 AMG E 53 Cabriolet, which we see in the best cars today. The ECO start/stop system automatically shuts off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations, to save fuel and reduce emissions. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for immediate acceleration response. The ECO start/stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time.

Power front seats feature intuitive, seat-shaped controls on the door, plus a 4-way power lumbar support. To set and save your ideal driving position, a memory system for each front seat recalls three stored positions for the seat, plus the positions of the 4-way power steering column and side mirrors for the driver.

Everyone loves convertibles, but the trade off is the noise in the vehicle as you drive. The 2023 AMG E 53 Cabriolet offers a nice feature that helps eliminate that: Mercedes-Benz Cabriolet’s engineering innovation called Aircap offers an automatic draft-stop system you can engage at the touch of a button. Utilizing an airfoil that rises from the windshield header and an electrically operated see-through mesh screen between the rear head restraints, Aircap can help keep top-down driving quiet and draft-free even at highway speeds. And unlike conventional wind deflectors, the rear seats remain fully usable.

This is one of my favorite things about the 2023 AMG E 53 Cabriolet and the list is long. Give this sedan convertible a spin and start your driving adventure today.
