Starting at $24,000, the Ford Maverick pickup has seating for five.

This compact bed pickup is all about fun and performance. This pickup can pull 1,500 pounds, which means a sofa, nightstand and more can easily fit. It delivers 22 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway.

There are three trims from XL to Lariat, with the latter priced at $35,000.

With a 4.5-ft. bed, 10 available tie-downs, an in-bed outlet and a multi-position tailgate, the “flexbed” storage system is designed to adapt. You can transform the tailgate into a sturdy work surface or a party. When the tailgate is half-closed, it lines up perfectly with the wheel wells. You can tie down items flat between them, making it possible to haul longer materials like drywall. Ford also gives you the option of a manual locking tailgate or the power-locking version.

I like the details in the bed including the LED box lighting, which comes standard on the Lariat and available on the XLT trim. With two 12 volt pre-wired connections and available 400-watt 110 volt outlets, you can power additional LED lights, a mini-fridge and even a small TV.

On the inside, the XL comes with a 4.2-inch instrument cluster screen and an 8-inch center infotainment system. Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility, cloth bucket seats and lots of storage makes the Maverick a great ally for all your trips and jobs. The Lariat also offers an available eight-speaker B&0 sound system with a subwoofer that delivers a great sound experience.

The XLT trim features a unique “navy pier” and “medium slate” interior with orange highlights that bring both style and utility to the cabin. These accents are in high-traffic touchpoints, like the door handle and center console, so everything you use the most stands out. At the top of the trims is Lariat, which features “desert brown activeX” trimmed seats and an eight-way power driver’s seat.

On the outside, the Maverick has 18-inch machined-face bright aluminum wheels. You can also bring the outside in with the available power moonroof on the XLT and Lariat.

I really enjoyed driving the Ford Maverick. I recommend giving it a spin and let me know what you think!
