The Utilities Department is pleased to recognize Eric Francois, Senior Project Manager in the Utilities Department at the City of Miramar.

Eric Francois started as an Engineering Inspector with the City of Miramar in December 2007. In 2017 he was promoted to the position of Project Manager and most recently to Senior Project Manager. Eric is in charge of managing the Utilities Department’s flagship projects such as the East Water Treatment Plant conversion from lime softening to nanofiltration facility, the addition of 2.5 MGD capacity to the City’s reclaimed water system at its Wastewater Reclamation Facility (WWRF) and the 30-inch reclaimed water pipeline across I-75 and into Dykes Road, and the Historic Miramar Infrastructure Projects Phases I through III. Prior to his stint with the City, he worked for the US Precast Corporation as a Design Engineer. He graduated in 1998 from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Eric has handled one of the most challenging neighborhood projects implemented by the City which impacted over 900 home and business owners. He has shown not only his managerial skills in handling the project to keep it on track but also in dealing with residents who come to him for every conceivable issue related to the project. He has gone above and beyond his call of duty in handling residents’ concerns even during this pandemic period.
