This performance promises to be one you will not want to miss.
Speaking of entertaining event, the youth ministry at Our Lady of Lebanon was on fire at the church’s three-day 47th Annual Lebanese Festival where hundreds of children and young adults were participated in other amazing shows on stage that included dancing, a fire show, musical performances, and, of course, incredible food and fun. Among the organizers of this amazing festival were Norma Jean Abraham and Christopher Abi Daoud, who were guests on my show to share ways this annual activity brings everyone in the congregation together to support their community outreach.
Prior to the Coral Gables Community Foundation’s Tour of the Kitchens, there was a VIP Reception for sponsors at the beautiful Gables home of Carlos and Lina Lago. CGCF’s President and CEO Mauricio Vivero welcomed guests who enjoyed drinks and some amazing hors d’oeuvres prepared by Michael Altman, of Kitchen 57. On hand to thank sponsors was CEO Mauricio Vivero and event co-chairs, Xavier Durana and Liz Parnes, with CGCF Chair Michael McCarthy. Carlos and Lina’s gardens with monstrous trees provide a lovely canopy for their backyard where one tree is more than 120 years old. This place is destined to be on a garden tour in the future. Look for more on the Tour of the Kitchens in upcoming issues.
