Pictures speak a thousand words and with that in mind this week’s column will feature more photos than words. These past few weeks there have been so many events in rapid succession that covering the activity has been a challenge. From a fashion show, a Halloween weekend with parties including Howl-O-Ween, and the RCCG Chili Cook Off, the events were nonstop.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals held their annual luncheon to honor deserving individuals and businesses while Pinecrest reveled in Halloween with Paws 4You’s Annual Howl-O-Ween. Several local groups also participated in the Rotary Club of Coral Gables’ resurrected Chili Cook Off that made a record amount for charity.

Several Florida Federation of Woman’s Clubs held events from the Coral Gables Woman’s Club’s Halloween Party to the Cocoplum Woman’s Club’s Fashion Show, Concerts and a District workshop that filled the calendar. Of course, Gringo Bingo hosted by Clutch Burger on November 9 raised funds for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk scheduled November 19 at the FIU football stadium, and the Florida Grand Opera started its season. Phew! Lots going on and more to come! Enjoy the photos.

Until next time, keep making each day count, share an act of kindness and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
