Commissioner Juan Carlos “JC” Bermudez is proud to announce the launch of a new Home Beautification Program in partnership with the Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD). This exciting initiative is designed to support low-income homeowners in District 12 by offering grants for exterior painting and landscaping assistance—all in the spirit of Beautifying District 12.

“Neighborhood pride begins at home,” said Commissioner Bermudez. “By helping residents improve the exterior of their properties, we’re not just enhancing curb appeal—we’re investing in the quality of life for families and strengthening the character of our communities.”

The Home Beautification Program offers grants of up to $8,000 per eligible single-family detached home. To qualify, applicants must be the owner and occupant of the home, not own other investment properties, and meet the updated income limits. For example, the income limit is $72,650 for a two-person household and $90,800 for a four-person household.

Applications can be picked up in person at the Office of Commissioner Juan Carlos “JC” Bermudez, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All required documents must be submitted to complete the application process. Completed applications are due back to the office by Friday, September 5, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.

For more information on how to apply, residents are encouraged to call the Office of Commissioner Juan Carlos “JC” Bermudez at 305-599-1200.

Together, we are Beautifying District 12—one home at a time.
