Residents and stakeholders now have a clear way to follow Miami-Dade County’s legislative process as it happens, following the implementation of a resolution sponsored by Commissioner Keon Hardemon.
With the goal of providing the public with clearer, more accessible information during meetings, the legislation established a County policy to include scrolling text, known as a ticker or crawler, during Commission and Committee meeting broadcasts and webcasts. Displayed at the bottom of the screen without interrupting the discussion, the scrolling text provides viewers with updates on the current status of agenda items throughout the meeting.
Whether watching from home, following along online, or present in the chamber, viewers can easily follow the status of agenda items and understand the actions the Board of County Commissioners and its Committees are taking.
