The Glory House of Miami will host its First Annual Charity Bike-A-Thon on Saturday, July 26, 2014. The event will take place from 8am to 12pm at Ludovici Park 17641 Old Cutler Road, Palmetto Bay, Florida. Riders are invited to come together for a worthy cause. The route begins at the park and proceeds through The Old Cutler Bike Trail to Pinecrest Gardens and back, which is approximately, 10 miles.
Statistics rank the Greater Miami area as the ninth highest sex trafficking destination in the country with half of the survivors being children. Overall, Florida ranks third in the country for sex trafficking. The Glory House of Miami is a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to provide long term shelter to sex trafficking survivors and restore them to productive, quality lives through educational and medical assistance as well as spiritual guidance. Proceeds raised from the Bike-A-Thon will benefit the organization in their efforts to build a safe house for sex trafficking survivors.

To ensure a safe ride, all participating cyclists must wear helmets and obey applicable traffic laws during the ride.

ABOUT THE GLORY HOUSE OF MIAMI
Established in 2012, The Glory House of Miami is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization consisting of volunteers working together to build a home for sex trafficking survivors.. The house aims to shelter survivors (between the ages of 18 and 24 years old) and provide them with long term shelter; productive lives; a peaceful environment; assistance with education and training to become economically self-sufficient; access to community resources; medical assistance; mentorship and prayer.
