Evensky & Katz/Foldes Financial Wealth Management will host the 13th annual Charity Classic on Friday, Nov. 17, at the Biltmore Golf Course, 1200 Anastasia Ave.
The Charity Classic has raised more than $150,000 during the past two years, benefitting non-profits such as Make-a-Wish Foundation, Mt. Sinai Children’s Medical Center and Miami Children’s Health Foundation.
In partnership with the Coral Gables Community Foundation and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, the Charity Classic will benefit the Coral Gables Museum, Coral Gables Art Cinema, St. Alban’s Child Enrichment Center, Pridelines, Make-a-Wish Southern Florida, Junior Orange Bowl and the Baptist Health Foundation, in addition to other Coral Gables charities.
“Our focus has been on helping local non-profits and the incredible positive impact they have on our community; this year we are highlighting Coral Gables organizations,” said David Evensky, principal at Evensky & Katz. “Our first tournament was held at the Biltmore and we are looking forward to returning for our 13th annual charitable event.”
“Our firm has been in Coral Gables for 32 years and we were there when the Foundation began and are proud members of the Coral Gables Chamber for all of our years in business, and that makes this year all the more special,” Evensky said.
The golf tournament will begin with registration at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The format is best ball. Participants will be treated to a cocktail hour, barbecue lunch and an awards ceremony following the golf tournament until 7 p.m.
Throughout the tournament, there will be a variety of fun stops such as cigar rollings, beer tastings, massages and other incentives for the participants.
Individual players are $400 and foursomes are $1,500. This includes golf and cart fee, lunch, beverages, barbecue and player gift. There also are corporate sponsorship packages available.
