The 2025 Life Time Miami Marathon & Half presented by FP Movement returns to the streets of Miami on February 2 for its 23rd edition with 59 runners in the field of 18,500 who have participated in every Miami race since the event’s inception in 2003.
Owned and produced by Life Time, the nation’s premier healthy lifestyle brand with more than 175 athletic clubs across the U.S. and Canada, demand for the annual event spans the country and globe, with runners representing 48 states and 75 countries. A waitlist surged to nearly 11,000 runners this year after registration sold out at the beginning of September 2024, the earliest sellout in race history.
“We’re excited to welcome the global running community to Miami this weekend,” said Frankie Ruiz, co-founder of the Miami Marathon and Chief Running Officer at Life Time. “The growth and demand for the Life Time Miami Marathon & Half is a testament to the unforgettable experiences our athletes have while visiting this vibrant destination.”
In addition to the marquee marathon and half marathon, the weekend activities include:
- Miami Famous Expo: The Life Time Miami Marathon & Half Expo presented by First Horizon Bank, will be held at Miami Beach Convention Center January 31 – February 1. The Expo is an industry-leading gathering of vendors, live entertainment and experiential activations from top lifestyle, health and wellness brands. It also serves as the hub for runners to pick up their race packets
- Life Time Tropical 5K: Runners will take on 3.1 miles at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 1. The race begins at Watson Island and crosses the MacArthur Causeway before ending on the Southern tip of South Beach.
- Nikki Beach clean-up: A collaboration between the Life Time Foundation and Clean Miami Beach, all are welcome to join at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 1 following the Life Time Tropical 5K finish.
- Kids Run Miami: More than 1,000 Miami-Dade County school students will complete the final mile of their 15-week-long marathon program alongside thousands of Marathon and Half participants. The program, funded by the Life Time Foundation, encourages healthy, active lifestyles by encouraging students to run 25 miles over 15 weeks leading up to the Marathon. They will complete their final 1.2 miles at the race-day finish line at 11 a.m.
Community Involvement
- A record-setting 115 charities and organizations are partnered with the 2025 Life Time Miami Marathon & Half. In 2024, the event generated $16.1M in local economic impact and hosted nearly as many international runners (34%) as it did runners from Dade County (35%).
- The Life Time Miami Marathon & Half will work with Food Rescue US – South Florida for the third year to donate leftover athlete food and discarded clothing items left around the start area to those in need.
