They lit up, they dressed up and then they stood up to claim the prize. This holiday season, businesses in the city participated in the Coral Gables Festival of Lights and the Storefront Display Awards Program for a chance to win several prizes.
After seeing the great holiday lights and impressive window displays, the Awards Committee determined the contest winners as follows:
Festival Of Lights
Best restaurant – Sushi Maki;
Best retail store – Tepedino Jewels, and
Best office – The Westin Colonnade.
Storefront Display Awards Program
Most creative – Rene Ruiz;
Most innovative – Reminiscence, and
Most engaging – Victoria’s Armoire.
The City of Coral Gables, Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, Business Improvement District, and Village of Merrick Park thanked the businesses that participated in the festive holiday contests. Winners were recognized officially and received their prizes at the Good Morning Coral Gables Breakfast on Dec. 20 at the Biltmore Hotel.
