The 2018 Fashion for Charity event is being hosted by Diane Superville, founder of Fashion for Charity, a not-for profit organization focusing on proving funding for scholarships to students interested in pursuing careers in the arts and fashion industry as well as supporting local charitable organizations.
The tea will take place on Sept. 15 at the Coral Gables Woman’s Club located at 1009 Ponce De Leon Blvd.
This year’s tea and fashion show event will benefit the Coral Gables Woman’s Club Dental Clinic and the Fashion for Charity scholarship program. The CGWC was organized in 1923 and has been providing free dental care to children in low income families up to 18 years old since 1939. The services provided by the Dental Clinic are paid for exclusively by donation and fundraising done by the club.
The Royal Tea and Fashion Show will feature scrumptious treats, opportunities to network with amazing people, a fashion show by Carlos Marrero a well-know local designer and the fashions by the upcoming young designer Yerenny Espinoza. Shopping and raffles will round out the afternoon. Guest will have the opportunity to wear their Derby’s, Fedora’s and Fascinators! Tickets are $50 per person or $500 for a table of 10.
Superville has been supporting education and young women in the South Florida market since 2012. Her events have benefited organizations like Girl Power, the YMCA, Casa Valentina, Casimiro Global Foundation and many other local organizations. In addition, students from the Dade County Schools Academy of Hospitality and Tourism program are invited to participate in the events and earn community service hours for their high school requirements.
The event attracts leaders from the local chambers, business organizations, community and government and hospitality industry.
