Hyundai Santa Fe plug-in hybrid is a modern marvel

The N Class of the 2022 Hyundai Elantra is a fun go-getter.

I really like the design, which includes geometric lines on the doors.

The sedan sells for $32,150 and gets great mileage: the N 8-speed wet dual clutch transmission delivers 20 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway. That’s delivered on a 276 horsepower gasoline direct injection engine with 289 pound-feet of torque.

One of the sporty options I enjoyed was the paddle shifters, which continues the sporty feel that Hyundai is going for with the Elantra’s N line.

The attention to detail is a strong selling point. Inside you get the N line design on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. The N line branding extends to the leather-wrapped shift knob and the sport seats, which carry the N brand. That’s in addition to the front fascia, which also has the N line branding very clearly displayed.

Innovation is key to the Elantra’s appeal, which offers a large 10.25-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. You can also place your compatible device on the available charging pad to power up.

The gauges are also easy to read: the 2022 Hyundai Elantra N offers a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster that is efficient and clear. All the important information is available in one place.

The sound system is fantastic, with Bose premium audio that comes with 8 speakers, a center channel and subwoofer. So all your music and pretty much everything else is clear and crisp no matter where you are driving.

The 2022 Hyundai Elantra N also offers ambient interior lighting in 64 colors that make being inside and outside more fun. No matter your mood, you can find lighting that works for you.

I also like the Hyundai digital key system, which allows you to control your doors and more from your mobile phone. It’s a great feature because these days you are doing everything on your mobile phone.

Overall, I really enjoyed driving the 2022 Hyundai Elantra N, which takes sedans to a sporty level and offers performance all over town.
