The 2014-15 free Noches Tropicales concert series presented by the Miami- Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department and sponsored by Target comes to a close with a grand finale “All Stars” concert on Friday, Mar. 20, at Tropical Park.
The fun, family-oriented concert will showcase a broad sweep of popular Latin music entertainers and musical styles, including salsa, smooth jazz, nostalgic pop, and rock ballads. The concert starts at 8 p.m. and offers open field seating and a dance floor for this special night. Concert-goers are advised to arrive early to find a good vantage point and bring lawn chairs and snacks to better enjoy the festivities. Admission and parking are free for this event.
The Noches Tropicales series was founded by Miami-Dade County District 10 Commissioner Javier D. Souto.
The must-see concert includes such Latin music royals as Grammy Award-winning Edwin Bonilla; the legendary Andy Harlow; American Grammy winner Marlow Rosado, who is sponsored by Samsung/T Mobile, and Grammynominated Kiki Sanchez.
Also performing are front singers Lucy “La Voz” Grau, Willie Panama the “King of Salsa Rap,” Luis “Jibarito” de Jesus, Miami’s own “Siren of Salsa” Elaine Hernandez, and Javier Merino Jr., and musicians Daniel Berroa, Robert Heredia, Pete Francis and Rainier Guerra.
