An exhibit at the Coral Gables Museum takes visitors on a journey over the past century celebrating the American Red Cross’ South Florida Centennial. From its early days in 1917 through its modern day response to Hurricane Irma, see how the lifesaving work of the American Red Cross has evolved along with the changing South Florida landscape. This multi-dimensional exhibit, on display Feb. 2-Apr. 22, includes historical artifacts, images (such as accompanying 1934 photo), and uniforms that will bring to life the Red Cross’ humanitarian mission. A public reception is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 2, 6-10 p.m., in conjunction with Coral Gables Gallery Night.
