Live your Broadway dreams onstage! Enroll now in acting, voice, dance, musical theatre, scene study, improv, and more. All levels welcome. We empower artists of all ages through life changing experiences.

The Conservatory is a place where young artists will learn from and perform alongside working professionals. Our students learn and grow from witnessing the power of live, professional theatre in action in ASC’s Mainstage productions.

Our in-house developed, performance-driven curriculum has produced hundreds of successful performers now working professionally all around the world including on Broadway and in national and international tours. Whether it’s in acting, singing, or dancing, the Area Stage Company is the perfect place for your artistic instruction.

Fall 2021 Group Classes

All group classes will culminate in a performance in our end-of-session Student Showcase in December.

  • Early Stages Theatre 3 – 6 yrs | An enchanting workshop for focusing on the joys of creativity, self-expression and imagination through the use of theatre!

  • Acting & Improv I 6 – 8 yrs | This class is a combo class including traditional acting instruction through monologue and scene work with improvisation techniques, sure to keep any young actor on their toes.

  • Singing for the Stage I 6 – 8 yrs | This class serves as a great way for young, aspiring singers to get their feet wet with formal instruction in a low-pressure, welcoming environment!

  • Acting Beginner 6 – 10 yrs | This engaging class is for young artists who are brand new to the stage!  Kids learn the fundamentals of acting in a fun, supportive, and creative atmosphere.

  • On-Camera Acting 6 – 14 yrs | This multi-level course gives young actors a chance to work in a small class setting with generous time given to exercises and individual attention to develop ease when acting on camera, personalization skills, tackling demanding material, and everything from first slates to callbacks.

  • Musical Theatre Dance – Beginner 6 – 17 yrs | Fulfill your dreams of becoming a Broadway dancer with musical theatre dance! This dance class is specially designed for beginner students.

  • Willy Wonka Jr. 6 – 14 yrs | Though the main focus of these sessions is the rehearsal and production of Willy Wonka Jr., participants will also gain a deep understanding of theatre as a process.

  • Musical Theatre Ensemble 8 – 12 yrs | Young performers in this class will learn and explore the three major building blocks of musical theatre: acting, singing, and dancing!

  • Singing for the Stage II 9 – 13 yrs | This class serves as a great way for young, aspiring singers to get their feet wet with formal instruction in a low-pressure, welcoming environment!

  • Acting & Improv II 9 – 13 yrs | This class is a combo class including traditional acting instruction through monologue and scene work with improvisation techniques, sure to keep any young actor on their toes.

  • Acting the Song 10 – 18+ yrs | This class, for singers and actors with some experience in theatre, focuses on song interpretation and acting through song.

  • Musical Theatre Dance – Intermediate 10 – 17 yrs | This dance class is designed for more experienced, or older students who wish to improve and refine their dance technique and physical storytelling ability.

  • Mirror of Most Value a Ms. Marvel Play 14 – 18+ yrs | Students participating in this production should expect intense, but fun rehearsal days where they will be treated as professional actors.

  • Scene Study 14 – 18+ yrs | In this acting class students learn how to use all of their technique, and harness it for performance.

  • Adult Spanish Language Acting – 18+ yrs | Clases en Español destinadas tanto a amateurs como a actores profesionales que deseen seguir formándose y ampliar sus posibilidades laborales.
