The Rotary Club of South Miami is excited to announce the 40th annual SOMI Art Fest on February 22-23, 2025, in the heart of downtown South Miami. This year’s festival, presented by United Community Bank and organized by the Rotary Club of South Miami, celebrates four decades of artistic tradition and a continued commitment to supporting the local arts, art scholarships for high school seniors in South Miami, and community projects.
The SOMI Art Fest has evolved from a small show with just 25 booths into a major cultural event in South Miami, with over 120 artists and attracting over 25,000 visitors annually. The juried art festival showcases not only artwork from emerging and established artists, but also the dedication of the South Miami Rotary Club to supporting the arts and their local community.
Admission to the festival is free, encouraging families and art lovers of all ages to explore and enjoy. Ample parking is available on-street and in garages, and the festival site is conveniently accessible by Metrorail, bicycle, or car.
Event Highlights:

February 22-23, 2025: The festival opens on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., with a concert from 6-9 p.m. The festival closes on Sunday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Location: Held on Sunset Drive (72 ST), between US1 and Red Road (57 AVE), adjacent to the Shops at Sunset Place.

Juried Art Showcase: Over 120 artists, including local artisans and those from across the nation and Canada, will display their finest work in various mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, 3D art, fiber, mixed media, drawing, glass, and more.

Two Live Music Stages: Local bands bring their vibrant rhythms to two live stages on both days of the festival.

Concert on Saturday Night and Salsa Dancing: Saturday night brings powerhouses Tony & the Kings and Soulpax, along with a special salsa dancing demonstration, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in the festive atmosphere of the Stella Artois Beer Garden.

Family-Friendly Activities: The festival features a dedicated kid zone with creative activities to inspire young artists.

Food and Beverages: Enjoy a selection of local and international cuisine and refreshments from various food vendors, and a lively beer garden.

Dog-Friendly: Pet vendors will be present with a dog hydration station and more.
All proceeds from the SOMI Art Fest fund student scholarships and community projects through the Rotary Club of South Miami’s Foundation. The Rotary Club’s commitment to the festival’s enduring mission to enrich and give back to the community is part of the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self.”
