Coral Gables will be abuzz with a variety of Halloween-themed events running from Saturday, Oct. 21 through Tuesday, Oct. 31.
South Florida residents and visitors are invited to join in on the Halloween fun. The city is hosting family-friendly events like Trick-or-Treat on the Mile and a Day of the Dead celebration for all to enjoy.
Saturday, Oct. 21
• Have a “gourd” time taking pictures at Coral Gables’ own Pumpkin Patch at Ponce Circle Park starting at 1 p.m. Surrounded by hundreds of pumpkins of all sizes, live music, face painting, food, and drink, and more, it’s hard to deny it’s not fall in Coral Gables.
Monday, Oct. 23
• The Pumpkin Arch at Giralda Plaza will be up for all to take their fall photos. It will stay up through Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 23.
Friday, Oct. 27
• For those 50 and older, don your favorite costume for a bit of hocus pocus at the Adult Activity Center’s Spooktacular Halloween Bash. Saturday, Oct. 28
• From 2 to 8 p.m., Miracle Mile will transform into a Halloween haven with Trick-or-Treat on the Mile, featuring costume contests, face painting, balloon artistry, book readings, and a captivating magic show. Participating businesses along Miracle Mile will distribute candy to eager trick-or-treaters.

# Magic Show at LeJeune Plaza, Corner of Miracle Mile and LeJeune, 5 p.m.
# Spooky Children’s Story Hour at Books & Books, 265 Aragon Ave., 5 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 29
• Put your pumpkin carving skills on display during the Halloween Pumpkin Float event at the historic Venetian Pool at 6 p.m. Families can enjoy snacks while carving their pumpkin and watching the jack-o’-lanterns float across the dark, moonlit waters. Visit www.playgables.com.
Monday, Oct. 31
• Visit the Coral Gables War Memorial Youth Center for Nightmare at 405 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The Youth Center will be transformed into a gloomy, haunted house with a variety of scare zones. Foolish mortals who dare to enter will receive a treat after being tricked. This event is not suitable for children ages 5 and under. Visit www.playgables.com.
For those attending the Saturday Downtown area events, parking is readily available at four municipal garages. Two are located on Andalusia: 245 and 385 Andalusia Ave., and two on Aragon: 220 and 51 Aragon Ave. The Coral Gables Trolley will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., providing easy connections to the Douglas Road Metrorail Station. Additionally, Freebee service will be active.
Starting Sept. 30, the Downtown Express will connect South Gables to Downtown Gables via north- and southbound trolley routes between 2 and 10 p.m. every Saturday. Stops include Kerdyk Park, The Standard, Red Road Commons, University Metrorail Station, Life Time Building, Miracle Mile, and Giralda Plaza.
