Ceramic League of Miami…Ready to Ring in Our 75th Year

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The Ceramic League of Miami (CLM) is closing out this year with a Last-Minute Holiday Shopping Maker’s Market.  Scheduled for Saturday, December 21 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, this market has the potential of being our best one yet.  We will have 18 vendors in our parking lot and in the building, including jewelers, wood turners, visual artists, the You Make Unit from the Miami-Dade Library System and, of course potters.  Come by for some hot cider, donated by Fresh Market, treats from our Members Bake Sale and wrap up your holiday shopping with unique, handmade gifts.

2024 has been a very busy year for CLM.  We have held workshops with nationally known ceramic artists Kyle and Kelly Phelps and Lisa Orr, we held 6 sessions of our community school, thanks to Community Newspapers we started a monthly podcast, raised funds for artists impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, our membership has reached a new high level and we had our most successful Give Miami Day to date.  As we look forward to our 75th year, we have many plans to improve our studios and to reach out further into our community.

Our next class session starts on January 6, 2025.  Go to our website at www.ceramicleaguemiami.org for information on our classes, upcoming events, gift certificates and so much more.  As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to educate our community on the ceramic arts.  At CLM we do that through our classes and workshops, our Sunday booth at Pinecrest Gardens and other sales in the community, and community outreach programs.  If you have ever thought of getting your hands dirty in clay, come by and check us out.
