GFWC Coral Gables Woman’s Club conducted its annual President’s Reception for club president Linda Hartwell on Mar. 26.
Members gathered to honor Hartwell at the Coral Gables Woman’s Clubhouse while enjoying dinner, dancing and an evening a fun. Coordinating the affair was first vice president Mireya Kilmon, who presented flowers to all past presidents in attendance. Hartwell received a lovely bouquet of white roses, a stunning orchid and, as her year involved a dragonfly theme, a box of six beautiful sparkling beaded dragonfly napkin holders.
Delicious hors d’oeuvres were provided by past president Barbara Lapsley, Carmen Suarez and Mayra Dominguez, while dinner was catered by Coco Plum Catering and Design. Dessert from The Cake Box was a tiered vanilla rum cake with dragonflies and a teapot on the top tier.
Among the many others who helped with the affair were Jessie Francisco; Patty Hendon; Christy Saxon-Hernandez; Esther Paya and her daughter, Andrea (cake designer extraordinaire and former Juniorette member).
