Starting in February, the popular Coral Gables Freebee will expand its route beyond Downtown Coral Gables to include free rides to the War Memorial Youth Center, Coral Gables Branch Library, Coral Gables Trolley route stops along Ponce de Leon Boulevard and the Douglas Metrorail station.
The free ride service was introduced in Coral Gables in June 2017 to alleviate traffic during the construction of the Miracle Mile Streetscape Project. This service expansion is made possible with the assistance from the Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization’s SMART Demonstration Program.
