During a recent city commission meeting, Mayor Jim Cason, along with city commissioners and other city officials, presented the hospital with a Certificate of Appreciation for its involvement and support of local events and activities.

“It is a privilege for our hospital to serve the residents of this beautiful city,” said Jeffery Welch, CEO of Coral Gables Hospital. “We will continue to participate in activities year-round that promote overall wellness.”

Coral Gables Hospital is an active participant in the Coral Gables Farmers Market each Saturday and the “Jazz in the Gables” midday event each Wednesday. The hospital also is a sponsor of the city’s annual Fourth of July fireworks display, the Easter egg hunt and other family activities throughout the year.

In addition, Coral Gables Hospital provides free health screenings to the community and hosts lectures with physicians on various health-related topics throughout each month.
