The City of Coral Gables announced that Monica Beltran has been appointed the new Director of Parking and Mobility Services. She succeeds Kevin Kinney, who is retiring after a 17-year tenure.
Beltran previously held the role of Parking Director for the City of Miami Beach. During her time there, she significantly boosted operational efficiency and profitability through challenging periods. Additionally, she has over 30 years of experience in the industry. She worked for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department as Director of Landside Operations where she was responsible for transportation and parking.
In her new role, Beltran aims to enhance the city’s parking systems, improve mobility, and ensure the sustainability of transportation services to effectively meet the needs of both residents and visitors. Her extensive background in project management, team leadership, and innovative transportation solutions will support Coral Gables in advancing its infrastructure and services.
Prior to her role in Miami Beach, Beltran was the Director of Landside Operation at Miami International Airport, where she was instrumental in major developments related to airport parking and transportation management.
Beltran holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and French from Florida International University. She is also a Certified Parking Professional, a credential awarded by the National Parking Association.
