The City of Coral Gables Emergency Management Team conducted a drill in June to prepare for a Category 4 hurricane. All departmental leaders and stakeholder partners, such as the University of Miami, gathered at the city’s EOC to rehearse every step — from a Hurricane Watch to a Hurricane Warning — in anticipation of the storm’s impact on the area.
