Columbus High School inducts 5 new members into Hall of Fame

Five new members were inducted into the Christopher Columbus High School Hall of Fame during a special ceremony in the school’s cafeteria on Dec. 7, 2015. They were inducted for their outstanding achievements and steadfast dedication to the school. “They all embody the Columbus, Marist spirit and make us truly proud,” said Columbus president Br. Kevin Handibode.

The five inductees were:
Teresa Chomat, chemistry and math teacher in her 26th year at Columbus;

Marcus Lemonis, Class of 1991 alumnus known as the “Business Turnaround King” and Host of CNBC’s Reality Series The Profit, chair and CEO of Camping World;

Br. Angelo Palmieiri, Columbus administrator and teacher who served Columbus for over 18 years and former Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Miami;

Ray Rodriguez, Class of 1969 alumnus and former president and chief operating officer of Univision Communications Inc., and

Robert Sanchez, Class of 1983 alumnus who is the chair and CEO of Ryder System Inc.
