Compass Florida made its official entrance into the Coral Gables market on Aug. 27 with two new offices and a merger with Greater Miami Investments Inc. (GMI).
The union with GMI adds value to Compass and provides the resources needed to meet the demand of buyers in Coral Gables and the surrounding areas. The second office will include industry veterans, the Audrey Ross team and the Jorge and Yasser team.
The two new locations provide a combined 4,000 square feet of office space.
“The merger with GMI is an ideal opportunity as we continue to expand into this market,” said Beth Butler, general manager of Compass Florida. “Iliana, Orlando and their entire team have such a strong knowledge of the Coral Gables area and the hands on, personal approach they take with clients resonates with our mission.”
Led by industry veterans Orlando and Iliana Abella, the boutique firm joins Compass with 50 active agents to create the GMI-Abella team. GMI’s former office space located at 60 Aragon Ave is being converted into a Compass office. Under the Compass umbrella, GMI will cover commercial listings as well as high-end residential listings in markets including Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, Brickell, Pinecrest and South Miami. They offer a full spectrum of real estate services which includes high-end residential sales and rentals, commercial properties, office leasing and property management.
“Compass’ ‘dream big’ mentality and company culture aligns so closely with our team’s values,” said Iliana, co-owner and Realtor at GMI. “We are thrilled to be a part of a firm that offers second-to-none technology and treats its agents and customers like VIPs.”
With more than 35 years in the real estate business, Orlando and Iliana’s success in South Florida is due to established, long-standing client relationships. Along with their outstanding reputation, both offer extensive, well-rounded real estate knowledge within the luxury residential market, commercial real estate and office leasing markets.
An active member of the Master Brokers Forum’s Board of Directors, Iliana has worked on distinguished real estate projects and successfully sold properties to celebrity clients including professional athletes, diplomats and many foreign nationals.
Additionally, Orlando has successfully closed sales and office lease agreements for a majority of Miami’s major buildings including Fortune 500 companies, attorneys and CPAs.
The second Compass office, located at 4699 Ponce de Leon Blvd., has opened with Jorge Fernandez and Yasser Ponce, as well as Audrey Ross with her team of seven full-time associates. A longtime resident of Coral Gables, Audrey is extremely knowledgeable on the market and has seen the area transform over the years. With the incredible growth occurring in Coral Gables, these professionals provide insight into what prospects are seeking in their future homes and help meet the rising demand of buyers in the area.
In commemoration of its expansion to Coral Gables and its commitment to the community, Compass is extending one-year memberships to the Coral Gables Museum to every client who purchases a home in Coral Gables through a Compass agent through end of 2018.
