The City of Coral Gables and the Coral Gables Police Department, following the annual United States Department of Justice National Crime Victim’s Rights Campaign, proclaimed its commitment to honor the rights of crime victims with an awards ceremony luncheon celebrated in April at the Coral Gables Country Club.
More than 200 people from the law enforcement community attended the event, including Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle, Gables city manager Cathy Swanson Rivenbark, and Interim Police Chief Ed Hudak.
This year’s event “Engaging Communities, Empowering Victims,” was dedicated to the children who are victimized by crime.
